Hello faithful mathNEWS readers! I, Alex McCausland, am the Vice President of Activities & Services for this wonderful term of winter '06. You probably don't know much about the position, so I'll be more than happy to tell you about it, but only if you drop by my office (MC 3039). Muahaha. Patrons for me!
By now nearly half of you will have put in votes for my coworkers for the coming term and I'm hoping you pick well. If you haven't, you should go do that now (vote on the third floor of the MC). In the meantime, if this election has made you want a louder voice in the affairs of the Society, or just made you more bored, you should drop by and volunteer. Sign-up for an office hour or ask me about the other volunteer oportunities we have avaliable to make things more interesting and fun around here. Be first year at large. You know you wanna. Nominations outside MC 3038. If boredome is the main concern, you should go to warrior weekends events tonight and to MathSoc Cove night on Wednesday. NO! I do not have ADD. I'm just really excited.
I hope to see everyone who reads this publication show up at my office (MC 3039) to ask me questions. That way I can feel ultra-important. VPAS AWAY!!! (Cool theme music playing in background).
P.S. Orientation leader applications are outside the MathSoc office (MC 3038), so if you liked your frosh week and want to be a part of the frosh week coming up next term, you should fill one of these out!
