Vote David Wheatley for MathSoc VPFinances

As an average reader of mathNEWS you probably don't care too much about the dealings of MathSoc, but you also probably use their services on a semi-regular basis. You can still vote in today's election, and I will try and give you a reason to swing by the 3rd floor polling booth and flex your electoral muscle.

Photocopiers only cost 5 cents at MathSoc, but it comes at a cost. Some of our copiers aren't in great shape, and some of our coinboxes don't accept the new coins. In previous terms as VPF, I have built up some great momentum towards getting the blasted things replaced, and have developed some important personal relationships with the people who control the photocopiers on campus.

With enough tenacity and free time I know we can get photocopiers that don't pretend to jam so they can take naps, and coin boxes that haven't been around longer than us. This is my last term, and I have plenty of free time.

If there is one reason for you to take the trip to the MC, it's insurance against you having to wait in line to use the only working photocopier in the office. Yes, it pisses me off too.
