Message from the Desk of the Yearbook Editors
If there's only one month you pay attention to the yearbook, make it
January
- Pick-Your-Photo will run Wednesday Jan 11, Jan 18, and Jan 25 from 12:30
to 4pm. You will need to pick out the grad photo that you want to have used
in the yearbook. We'll have miniatures of the photos you took with Dave from
Jostens, so come choose your photos, or we'll use the one with your eyes
shut. You know the one... Keep an eye on the mailing list, mathNEWS, and the stairwell posters for more info.
- The purchase deadline for personalized yearbooks has been extended, but
not by much. If you missed out in the fall, you can still buy a
personalized (or regular) book Wednesdays 11:30-1:00 at the sales booth
across from the Math C&D. Books are $40, personalization is $5 extra.
Jan 25 will be the absolute last date for purchasing a
personalized book.
- We need your candid photos! Want the book to be full of admittedly
oh-so-cute pictures of squirrels around campus? No? Then send in your
pictures and we'll cram in as many of them as we can, between the shots of
little Fluffernutter. Make sure to include caption info: who's in the
picture, and when and where it was taken (ie "Bob Smith and Jane Doe,
MathBus Gala, Fall 2004"). Pictures may also include non-grads. Send them
to mgcbook06@gmail.com if they are in digital format,
or put them in the
MGC mailbox in the MathSoc Office with your contact information so that we
can return them to you afterwards. If the pictures are in digital format,
make sure they stay at the highest natural resolution so they can print
larger in the book. But don't blow them up artificially; that will look
really grainy (ie, like shit).
- Grad Blurbs -- Everyone gets a little space beside their grad photo in
the yearbook for your own personalized blurb. You've been asking for them
and you will be able to add them soon. Keep watching mathNEWS, the
stairwells and the grad mailing list for your first chance to submit them.
