Everything One Needs to Know in Life
Can be Learned by Reading mathNEWS
Welcome to the end of another term! It's time once again to review the
wisdom to be found within the issues of the past months. Why? Because of
the rave reviews I got last term! Or because I have some free time at
work. Details, details... at any rate, have a look through this
term's issues to see if you can also find the following tidbits:
- Gino's pizza is the best deal near campus [2]
- If at first you don't succeed, try, try again (or eat hot dogs) [3]
- When playing bridge, beware people who sneak cards back into their
hand after tricks [2]
- Sometimes siblings can really get your goat [4]
- MacIntosh machines crash [1] but there's an online FAQ [3]
- Work with StatsCan means work regarding Samplists [5]
- If you think driving on the 407 is bad [4], observe the situation in
Korea [2] (I like the idea of blue signs, myself... :)
- Asparagus grows in fields [3]
- Sometimes you just have to make up the rules as you go along
- It seems almost anyone can run for office these days
- Avoid name-calling
- And finally, it's not so bad being si-- actually, I'm not going
anywhere NEAR that. Especially given my lowly status.
So, mathNEWS wisdom to reflect upon when you look over those previous
issues instead of studying. Or instead of doing your work term report.
Ahem. Anyway, I depart now with that obligatory comment: All hail
Mercury, the goddess of love and exams!
