Well, Waterlude beat us to the results by nine days, but here, finally, is our report on the FEDs election.
Team ORKS almost swept the four executive positions, having Brenda Slomka as president, Spikey Mike Kerrigan as VPSI (which may undergo a name change to Internal), and Ryan O'Connor (Imprint's De-educator) as VPEd. The only elected FedS executive not from team SKOR is Chris Di Lullo, who proved an interesting challenge for acronymization.
Using the D and L from Chris' last name we can get words such as SKOLD and KOLDS, while only a D gives us DKOS, which is essential to install on your computer to play Donkey Kong.
The next step is to try using first names. Since Ryan's the only one contributing a vowel, the O stays, but we can spell COMB (Chris O'Connor Mikey Brenda) and SOCK (Slomka O'Connor Chris Kerrigan). The first is somewhat useless, and the second would lead to all sorts of confusion within MathSoc and all other university societies who use 'Soc as an abbreviation.
Perhaps FedS is the best short form we have for these four folks.
