mathNEWSquiz # 1

Hey everyone, your summer squizmasters Craig and Eric are back! For those of you not familiar with the squiz, it's mathNEWS's weekly trivia column. Think you're the master of trivia? Then prove it by submitting your answers to the squiz — either by e-mail at mathnews@student.math.uwaterloo.ca or by a paper submission to our BLACK BOX on the third floor of the MC. Each week's winner will receive a $5 gift certificate from the math C&D. Good luck!

Disclaimer: We do not in any way sanction the use of Google or any other internet search engine for the purposes of answering squiz questions. Doing so will irreparably compromise your enjoyment of the squiz. Besides, if you use the internet to answer the squiz, then you're just a loser.
